Completely new to amazon
 

So I've sold on eBay and etsy for years but never sold on Amazon so this isn't a stealth account. Im just trying to figure out how it all works. Most of the items I want to sell I make myself and I'm having some trouble trying to list them. It asks for product ID which obviously they don't have since they are made by me. Can anyone help me with this? Sorry for the stupid question! :confused:

You need to purchase some EAN barcodes to sell on Amazon. Either setup an account or buy some numbers from a reseller.

Yeah I got those and was able to do that. Still completely lost when it comes to listing products on amazon though. It seems extremely difficult to list a product that isn't already on their website.

Watch some videos on youtube in start its difficult but once you know its quite easy

If you are new to amazon, and haven't started selling then i will recommend visit www.evantage.store for amazon related web service. I am also one of the delighted customer(seller) from there. I will suggest that, Amazon has a very strict policy of banning account, so it is recommended that seek help from a consultancy first. It is the best service consultancy i have ever found for establishing and maintaining store on amazon.If you want to give it a try, make a direct call to them or live chat or fix appointment, for only a small service.

Basically I'm trying to sell something that is my own product - its just a cheap product that I make myself that is pretty popular. It has its own category with many people selling similar items in it but I want to sell my own design with my own pictures etc. Its just every time I list it it changes the picture to something completely different so I'm trying to figure that out. I know its easy to list if you are listing the same product as someone else.

You need to create a unique listing. With your own barcode. The picture you upload will be associated to that barcode. I've never had this problem. Have your barcodes been used before?

I bought UPC numbers for my products but when I listed it it had a picture of a similar item instead of my actual item, I will try again today
