slyde101 | 09-28-2017 03:46 PM | My Account is closed? suspended? locked? Before I tell you guys what my problem is, I'm gonna be honest. I abuse amazon prime free trials a lot. I'm mentioning this because I want to know if by any chance this is why I'm having the problems I'm having. Now onto the main problem.
Okay, this basically happened:
I have been abusing free trials for months, and everything was going well until suddenly, my latest account with amazon was "locked" because issues confirming my billing address with my card. Originally speaking, after my account got "locked" after I purchased an item, I attempted to log back in right away obviously. Upon login, it said "Incorrect password" so I changed my password, tried again, same result. So I thought to myself "no problem", I'll just make another account to purchase something. I did so, and that new account got "locked" too. (I unfortunately did this multiple times) So I finally did the thing I should've did the first time, and checked my email and found out for the first time I had to fax over a copy of my statement to confirm my billing address. After I did so, I got an email from them saying
"We have closed your Amazon.com account and canceled all open orders. Any new accounts you open will be closed. We took these actions because our records show that this account is related to another account that was closed by Amazon."
I called in multiple times explaining that I made a new account because I wasn't aware I had to fax my statement over the first time on my first account, and went through their stupid process of faxing over my statement many, many times, . So I finally called in and asked to speak with a supervisor. I explained my situation perfectly to the Supervisor and she understood. She put me on hold to live chat with an "account specialist" to explain my situation. After this, she basically gave me a vague answer, telling me the account is closed for good, and there is nothing I could do about it. She even recommended I use a different card, which implies I'm not banned, right? This frustrated me a lot considering that didn't work. So what does this mean? The supervisor of all people seems to have little power compared to these "account specialists". I really don't understand. Am I banned? Or does this simply mean that they are so out of touch to my problem that they can't help? |
