Does Amazon do credit checks to devludge information?

Does Amazon do any sort of "credit check" or ping credit reference agencies for the charge methods on file?

If Amazon does ping credit reference agencies what could they divulge from it?

For seller accounts / charge cards AVS does not need to match

For buyer account it seems most have to AVS match

Really? From all the other Apskin threads I was lead to believe that the stealth accounts address must match the billing address of the charge method.

So this does not matter at all?
