Billing info - phone number for buyer account
 

I keep running in circles, with my buyer account. I will place a large order, amazon calls my home to verify, and if im not home they will lock my account. I then need to fax over my billing statement to confirm my card details. This costs like $5 at fedex and has happened 2 times this past month!!

Just trying to decide how to fix this.

My idea is to update all my billing info on amazon with either a cell phone or google voice so they will call me at that number. But does this number I give amazon have to match the number my credit card company has? I wonder if this system anything like the AVS?

they don't detect phone number associate with your card. Using google voice is fine. My buyer account also use google voice and it had been 3 years already.

But do you have your google voice as your home phone number also through your credit card?

nope, i dont use google voice for my credit card profile in the bank
