Tax ID banner disappear once we enter 2018?
According to Amazon policy: It is Amazon's policy for Amazon Individual sellers that exceed 50 transactions in a calendar year, regardless of sales volume, to provide tax identity information to Amazon.
Your Amazon selling privileges will be suspended if you exceed 50 transactions but have not provided the required information.
If you have had 25 transactions or more but have not provided your tax identity information, you will continue to see seller account notices and receive e-mails asking you to provide the information.
So here is the question:
I have 30 transaction in 2017 so far, and I am seeing the banner urging me to enter my SSN. If I stop selling on that account and let it cool off, will the counter reset to zero and will the annoying banner disappear on Jan 1, 2018?
Please note that this is not an "interpretation question". I'd like to hear sure answers from those who have ACTUAL experience. Thanks guys!
