Amazon UK

I tried opening an Amazon UK account from the USA and they immediately wanted an ID (passport). Is this common? Is there any way to avoid this requirement as I do not have a passport.

Thanks for any help.

Having the exact same issue at the moment. My usual methods are failing.

I am hoping its extra security for the Christmas season.

After you uploaded the ID you get the 15k email, where it says you can not sell up to 15k, right?

I believe you can thank these dyslexic geniuses that there are no UK accounts for sale anymore in the marketplace.

If you need one maybe contact a seller of US accounts.

You're saying that paying 500+ GBP for a shot in the dark at getting a UK seller account is something that should be accepted?
