Would a "Doing Business As" name for EIN pass Amazon tax interview
Unfairly suspended from Amazon and I would like to return to selling on Amazon and I know I would need to form another company with a new EIN, etc.
I am considering registering the EIN as a DBA but I am pretty sure this is considered a sole proprietorship to the IRS.
If I gave the name of my DBA "Doing Business As" as a company name to Amazon with the EIN that I used to register it, would the IRS give a no match because the IRS would need my REAL name to match or would the DBA name possibly pass because it would be included on the application form for the EIN?
On the application for the EIN under entity type I see a field for "Other (Specify)"
If I specified it as a DBA and included my DBA name would that come back as a match for the Amazon tax interview or would the IRS still automatically consider it a sole proprietorship?
Any guidance would be appreciated.
