Professional Amazon Account

I had a friend just set up an Amazon account this December, and Amazon did not require any verification documents. The professional account shows the listings as being active. Is that not unsual? I thought all new professional accounts have to go through the Seller Identity Verification.

Not all accounts goes through initial verification that's completely normal

Does that mean the verification will be done later? Or there are some accounts that never have to go through the Seller Identity Verification.

Theres a chance. Amazon is unpredictable. Both my accounts required verification at creation. Im surprised yours did not. You probably have a low risk fingerprint.

It’s random. Just much more common to get requested to verify these days

I would say 1/20 probably don’t experience verification requests until later

At some point all stores will request verification though

Not all accounts require verification because they do a background check on you before hand.
