AMZ US Account in the same Name as AMZ EU?

Hi,

I have verified AMZ EU account and want to start an AMZ US account in the same name and address. This is because I already got all the docs and would be able to use the same IP and VM. Would you guys recommend this or do you think its better to register in another name?

I tested it and it works fine, some do recommend to change name but it works fine for me

You may be able to use some but there are different requests on the USA side, such as business license that the EU doesn’t ask for

My EU Accout is fully verified and they asked for a business license already... So should have everything at hand.

I asked, because they got this stupid thing going on (can't remember what they call it) where you are able to link your North America Account to your EU account... This isn't mandatory (yet) but who knows what the future brings lol.

This is the stupid Email they send in this matter

Normally I'd say make a different account, but this is AZ and not eBay, I'd say in fact it'd be better if you just use your current info and expand into those other countries.

I think that expanding your account this way could be risky. If your EU account went down, it may also take down the US side with it because you will have "linked" them together via the "sell globally" option.

EU and US don't share info, so if you opened a separate US account using your current (same) info and you received a suspension, it would result in the loss of only one of the marketplaces rather than both.

This is just my opinion of course - if anyone knows any different, please enlighten me.

I guess everybody in this forum is trying to avoid the "sell globally option". Just a wild guess lol. I'll set up a US account with my EU info but new email. As far as I know you need to link your EU and US account yourself, AMZ won't do that automatically. However, we don't know what the future will bring tho.

my EU was banned but US wasnt. still standing untill now. i guess they dont correlate but i may be wrong.

Am I correct in say that:

1. You did not link the US & EU accounts with the "sell Globally" option

2. You used the same personal details to create both the US & EU accounts and also use the same IP
