Suspended for Credit Card Information

Hi everyone,

I just tried to start a new AMZ US account. And it was suspended about 1/2 hours later. The account balance is shown as -47,59 $

I got the following suspension notice:

Hello,

The credit card information on your Amazon.com seller account may no longer be valid. This is against our policies. As a result, you may no longer sell on Amazon.com.

Sellers on Amazon.com are not allowed to list items without a valid credit card on file.

Learn more about this policy in Seller Central Help (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/861).

Please ship any open orders. If you have funds in your account, they will be available after any amounts paid for A-to-z claims or chargebacks on your orders have been deducted. This usually takes about 90 days, but funds may be held longer.

You can see your balance and settlement information in the Payments section of Seller Central. If you have questions about those, please send an email to payments-funds@amazon.com.

To sell on Amazon.com, please update your credit card information. You will be redirected to the credit card update page the next time you sign in to your account.

To cancel your monthly subscription fee, if applicable, please contact Seller Support as soon as possible (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/cu/contact-us).

and so on...

Any ideas what went wrong?

Thank you for our answer.

I got one from Ignas in the marketplace... it usually should work, shouldn't it?

And how do you appeal to this one with a new vcc?

Re: Suspended for Credit Card Information

I have had a similar experience with Amazon before. A bank account info was added (⊗⊗⊗⊗ one) along with a valid credit card. Amazon charges ~ 45 € as soon as you sign up (I think it's a fee for selling on all EU-platforms). Anyway, they tried to book the 45 € from the bank account and that didn't work > they sent few e-mails demanding action and they ended up booking the 46 € from the credit card. After the booking they cancelled the monthly subscription, limited the account and started an ID verification process. The ID request was ignored and the account could still be logged into, but there is a red banner stating that action needs to be taken on the side of the seller to reinstate selling privileges.

In your scenario, I don't think you need to appeal anything because the account had not been banned in the first place. All what you have to do is to add a valid CC which can be used by Amazon to book due charges.

Did the name on the CC match the name of the Amazon account?

Contact ignas I know his cards works but recently his card also failed so maybe the card provider he was using blacklisted but he replaced it for me

Make sure you asked to to put this amount to cover fees or ask Amazon to change your plane to individual and it will be no fees
