tethered phone/ vpn question

I tether my phone for internet. If I use a dedicated VPN, will I be alright? Can I be tracked by Amazon? I will also set my computer back to factory reset.
Basically what I'm asking is:
Can they track me through my phone mac address?

MAC does not matter

You want a unique setup never used before, and a Fresh IP never used before

If you do tethering, what does VPN have to do with anything?

Is this strictly for amazon? Will this also keep your IP 100% private on other websites (i.e. email accounts, forums, etc.) even if they have software to detect anonymous proxies, for example?
