LLC Owner Check
 

Hey all,

I read the Amazon ghost carefully last night and came up with a question.

Does Amazon check who registered the new LLC so they can match it to the name on the suspended acct?

Also, if the legal entity on the suspended account was an LLC; would Amazon keep my name which was used before the account was converted? I went through the whole account settings and can't find my name anywhere.

They shouldn't be. If you're concerned, register in a state where the managing members are private.

Would you happen to know what these states are?
I changed the LLC registration to a registered agent; however, in my state, it still shows officers and directors on the certificate.

Do you know about the second part of the post (added later)?
If Amazon suspends a business account and my name was removed from the account when I converted it. Would they flag me as well?

I honestly don't know. I'd assume yes given they more than likely still have a record of that information, but that's per speculation on my part. I don't actively sell on there and the one account I do have it all legit so I've never experienced these sort of issues. Sorry I can't be more help on that side of things. Hopefully someone who has dealt with that can chime in.

The only way you can run into problems now with an LLC is if or (when) amazon request identity verification, in which case they want the state ID of the LLC owner. They don't request it all of the time, but recently they have been requesting it more often. There may be a work around but it will be time consuming.

The tax interview is automated, the name you register the LLC must match with the name registered with the IRS.

They won't be looking up your LLC to see the managing directors

Makes sense - the amount of backend check for Az would be too much, in general.

Takes just a minute to pull up the secretary of state website and do a business search, should they get that in depth with linking someone.

Its true its definitely possible. But highly unlikely unless you're giving them a reason to look into great detail of the accounts I would imagine
