Do my name/address on amazon account have to match bank account
 

I have opened an amazon.de account
They have asked me to provide a pdf of my bank statement I have linked to the account before I can use it.
The statement has my real name and address on it.
I opened this amazon account using a different name and a slightly different variation of my address format as I had an amazon account that got closed 3 years ago.

The format of my address on the bank statement will most likely be what my closed amazon account had on it.

Will they not link the accounts?

If you used info from a previously banned account then yes.

You don't want to cross reference info at all. So right now just wait and see what happens.

If you don't already have, the amazon ghost is an important read.
Amazon is much tougher than eBay and it's definitely not a playground for someone who is not serious in business.

Send them what they asking and make sure the name and address exactly matches on document you send them with your Amazon name and address

It's quite common for New accounts

As I said the name does not match.
Are you suggesting I alter the name on the statement?

I used different info for the amazon.de account as I had an amazon UK account closed previously.

The issue is that the name and address on the bank statement is the same as the name and address on my previously closed UK amazon account.

I am asking if it is ok to send them the statement with my real name and address on it that does not match the name and address as on the amazon.de account.

if not, then how do I get around this?

I would like to know what my next step should be to open the amazon.de account?

if I cannot send them my bank statement they requested as the info does not match the amazon details, then what is my next move?

Should I cancel the application and try a new one with my real name?

any input would be appreciated

You need to get creative, contact the seller on marketplace.

go to the accounts for sale section on the forum and look for a UK seller
