Amazon suspension - holding over 100k EUR - legal action
 

It has been almost 4 months now that Amazon started blocking our funds (over 100 000EUR!) and 3 months Amazon suspended our account.

Our account was in good health and the only reason they give is verification of our account because as a payment Amazon Payments Europe S.C.A. is a licensed service provider and subject to obligation to verify the customers address and identity as per the harmonized EU anti-money laundering and terrorist financing regime.

As a Western European company it is absurd to think that we even could even have used the Amazon account for money-laundering.

After sending them all documents for verification multiple times, even confirmed every detail by an official, there is still no change and only some automated responses of verification on going. The official takes it personally that Amazon abuses its power and will escalate the case to the government where he has the right connections.

This might and hopefully will lead to another legal action from a government against Amazon, meanwhile we have to get back our funds and found a lawyer with experience in such a cases who will take upon to Amazon.

We nonetheless want to prepare ourselves better (and support the lawyer in order to reduce his research and the cost). We are surprised to find little about legal action taken against Amazon except on a government level? Although we have agreed on their terms (of which certainly a few are discutable under European law), is it because nobody dears to take it upon to Amazon? It will cost money for sure, that's the case with any legal action.

It would be helpful to find if someone else has taken any legal actions against them or can provide us with any helpful information.

Please only posts comments if you know what you are talking about, this is not a thread to post frustrations or insinuations. Any similar other stories about suspension (which were not a result of bad metrics, counterfeit or stealth accounts) would be also helpful.

Is this a legit account with your real information?

It’s been over 90 days that they’re holding funds without release?

This is a 100% legit account, we are a legit company that can provide all legit documents.

If something was not legit then it would be a whole different story and you know you took a risk

You need to verify the account completely. This is a pita, I understand. Give them a phone number where they can call you back. Sometimes Verification with AMZ Germany can take pretty long. What helped me to speed things up was giving them a phone number and ask them call back.

The account was suspended because they were not able to verify the data on the account with the documents provided?

Yes I will say it will be better to verify with documents before you start listing because they will ask for it later anyway

but how did OP manage to get that far 100,000 euro $,I thought 2800 is the trigger?
There is a case of an Australian precious metal dealer last year ,they have a brick and mortar store in Australia,a website in Australia,but they also sell on Ebay and used Paypal to collect payment.
They have $80K in their paypal account when Paypal restricted their account,they have to get a lawyer to force Paypal to release the fund,their Paypal account is suspended,IT TOOK THEM 4 MONTHS .
They are in good standing with Ebay,but being in Australia,they have a merchant account from Aussie Bank,and it would not work in USA,SO without Paypal,their Ebay selling is now history.
Makes you wonder why and how can a business afford to keep $80k in an account without needing it as working capital?

Hey man, do you happen to know if amazon tracks its users through Mac address still?

Also, can I use the same internet router as my banned account used? (If I'm using a VPN)

Finally, if I cant use the same internet router, can I use my mobile phone as a hotspot? (Even though I've logged into my banned account on my phone in the past)

Op never come back to post updates,so either he/she got the money or legal action,she does not need us anymore.
My question is why did AMZN wait so long to ask ?

Yeah I've been trawling old threads, this one caught my attention. Was curious to know.

Hopefully he got his funds that's why he doesn't need the forum any longer.
