Is it as easy to maneuver as eBay Stealth?
About to start (going to buy an account from our fellow friend elmo), just trying to get a handle on what exactly I'm getting into.
Any tips/advice/etc is greatly appreciated.
Cheers mates,

| Get the Amazon Ghost Guide, ask specific questions, we can't possible guess what you know or don't know....or what isn't clear. A good place to start is by asking the seller questions.

My questions:
1. Is there anything specific you have to do different when using a ghost account rather than a regular account for FBA?
2. When you hit the certain amount of sales that requires them to send a tax form out, where does it go?
3. Is there any way to go get updates to a cell phone with the amazon app with a ghost account?
Cheers,
jmag

Amazon is tougher than eBay, this is the big boys' playground.
But if you read the Amazon Ghost carefully and actually understand how they function, it'll give you an idea on how you can operate.
Then the rest of the details and special cases that you'll encounter with amazon, you can get those answers here in the forum from our personal experiences.

1. Never reuse anything. You are a completely new person, any previous information from any other accounts is radioactive fallout dont play with it. Think about all the information you gave Amazon and make sure its different. This includes item condition notes for example or pictures and pricing. FBA is great for sales
2. From my understanding they will require an EIN/SSN which will be matched with the IRS which will return a POSITIVE or NEGATIVE match. What Amazon shares with the IRS is unknown but they do verify numbers.
3. Cant answer this one I don't use the app. Im sure there are some answers on the forum.

Thank you very much for this info!
For the EIN question: I have an EIN that I have NEVER used with Amazon. Will it show my real name though? And will they be able to link me with that?

Hopefully if it's never ever been used on an Amazon before it will be fine. Thinking it should be.

Another question: When sending product to Amazon for Amazon FBA, do you need to have the return address as your ghost account name?
Thanks guys |

Return address does not have to match. But don't use a previously suspended address.

Would sending the manufacturer a label with my return address info (ghost info) on it work? And then they can just ship it from there?

1. Amazon does not like Chinese goods in general. If they are 100% generic and do not resemble any branded product, you'll be ok, but if they are, say, an Apple iPhone charging cable, there's a good chance you'll have issues.
2. Sending directly to FBA means you have 0 opportunity to do a check of your goods and make a quality check. It also means you're relying ENTIRELY on monkeys at an Amazon warehouse to count your goods and inspect the quality (said monkeys are paid about 11 USD per hour, so they aren't particularly concerned about doing their jobs well] This can result in several issues, from them miscounting how many products they allegedly received (resulting in fewer products in your sell-able inventory, a net-loss.] or some of the product being defective and they don't know [it's not their product, and they aren't experts, plus they don't care].
I think you're highly overestimating the value of getting the product shipped to FBA directly. It's VERY cheap to have huge boxes shipped to Amazon. I used to ship 50+ lb boxes to FBA facilities regularly through UPS [at Amazons special rate] for around 12 USD per box. It varies depending on the dimensions but it's VERY cheap. It also allows you to personally check your product quantity and quality PRIOR to it being received by Amazon or the Customer.
The entire process will add just a few dollars to your expenses and less than a week of handling time. Well worth it, especially when dealing with China.

Big thanks Ghost.
You have skype? Would love to run some things by you, and skype is just quicker. If you don't, no worries.
