amazon 2 step verificiation
 

so got nottice today stating amazon will do 2 step verification on april 15th.

Before it was option. So will those free phone second line one work??

I know it does for ebay but problem is the phone expires after certain time so when i have to get the new phone number, it will say new number required.

So will it be fine to just get a temp number and enable 2 step verification. And when phone expires, i can just do a recover password or something and then just get new number again

Or you could keep an active phone number.....it sounds nuts but it's probably the best method.

text free and text now is good but if you don't use it certain times your number gets lost and new number gets assigned. I'm fine with that just forget to use it and that's where problem lies for me. I wonder if google is same.. i'll look into it.

Authy is a solid app. If you use it for multiple stores keep the phone in airplane mode just in case.

What do you mean keep it in airplane mode. I know airplane mode in phone obviously but the app you recommended , why does it have to be in airplane mode?

Does the Authy app have the idle mode where it requires you to get new phone if unused?

I know one that is great that doesn't expire as much (I think ) its sideline but I use that one often so it didn't expire but seems to still be good
