Amazon VCC clarification

Would anyone be wiling to provide clarification of Amazon VCC please?

My understanding is that any bank issued debit card or credit card can be used as a VCC on a stealth account, regardless of address or name on the card. Is that correct? I've tried using both a MasterCard credit card, as well as debit card, and neither of them worked. So are they supposed to work or not? Does the Zip code of the billing address of the credit/debit card need to be same as the account address of the stealth account on AMZ?

Re: Amazon VCC clarification

From personal experience all debit cards I used from my banks worked on my stealth accounts but I had to change my bank address to my stealth address for the card to work.

Others have stated the address does not matter but I suppose this is a YMMV.

Does your debit cards address match your stealth address?

Re: Amazon VCC clarification

No, the cards that I tried DID NOT match address. They did not work. I guess it's pretty easy to fix this issue as most debit cards with online banking allow you to go online and change your address.

Most legit debut / credit cards will work with mismatching name/address for a seller store

For a buyer, you often need fully AVS matching

To continue with what Elmo said, was this a seller store or a buyer account?

What Elmo said is very valuable. Which means we can easily use our own credit card and just make sure the zip code matches.

Also about amazon, make sure that you use a VERY good and fresh VPN like ipburger.
From what I know 99.9% of the VPN provider out there has gotten a lot of people in the pickle.

It is a professional Seller account. However, the Zip code did not match either. Maybe if the ZIP code matches, the address doesn't have to match exactly...

Re: Amazon VCC clarification

nothing has to match for a seller charge card

if it doesn't work with mismatching info then its just a stroke of bad luck for that issuing bank card

try another one issued by a bank, debit or credit, with mismatching info. Most honestly do work but occasionally you'll run into a card that doesn't

Re: Amazon VCC clarification

Just tried two more bank cards. One was MasterCard, one was Chase Bank Debit Liquid Visa. I even went ahead and changed the address of these cards to match the address on file. So matching info, ZIP code and address, only thing that is different is the NAME of the card. Didn't go through. Not sure what is going on but quite concerned. Can't regain access of my account! Maybe something is changing?

From the chase site: "Chase Liquid® is a reloadable prepaid card"

Looks like its a prepaid card, Amazon may have barred it.

For the Mastercard, which card did you use? Tell us the exact cards you used and we may be able to find out why Amazon is declining them.

Re: Amazon VCC clarification

The MasterCard was provided by IGNAS here on the forum. He actually had me provide him with the name and address on my account so he can make it for that purpose I assume. That didn't work either.

Its because of the prepaid card...I have used many debit cards without any info matching and it worked.

I just tried to list a generic item.. and it says " credit card is invalid or in the process of validating " and this is my debit card. of course zip etc.. doesn't match. hmppf i do see the 0.00 and 39.99 authorization at my bank, i guess just wait?

Re: Amazon VCC clarification

Most prepaid / reloadable cards are blacklisted by Amazon and the list is growing is every day.

Explain the situation to your VCC seller and he may be able to find you another one.

In the meantime I suggest you use a real Visa/Mastercard debit card from a common bank such as Chase, Bank of America, TD, PNC, etc. Keep us updated.
