claim lost because not shipping on time?

Today, i received a message from Amazon:

"We hold you responsible for these claims when:

- You fail to provide tracking for the order shipment
- You do not ship the order on time
- The order arrives late or not at all
- You send the order to the wrong address"

1. i provided the tracking number
2. due to bad weather, the shipping carrier failed to pick up the package and bringing the label within 2 days of shipping.
3. order arrive on time
4. address is right .

Does Amazon hold you responsible even though package delivered on time with signature because of late shipping? This is ridiculous. This is not FBA order.

Re: claim lost because not shipping on time?

In a nutshell, yes... you ship late... they'll nail you. Even if it arrives on time.

Call seller support and explain to them and see if there's something that can be done.

If customer claimed non received, you have proof that they did at least.

Re: claim lost because not shipping on time?

Customer service is first and foremost for Amazon. If you dispatch an item late and the customer complains they will more than likely refund them especially if it's relatively low value.

Post the a-z claim.

Did you call seller support yet and see if there's a way to appeal this?

Re: claim lost because not shipping on time?

I did called the seller support and even emailed Jeff but no helps at all. Here is the email seller-guarantee sent me:

"Hello,

We have granted the customer’s A-to-z Guarantee claim of $419.10 on order xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

We have issued a refund and debited the amount from your account because the customer claims there was an issue with the delivery.

We hold you responsible for these claims when:

- You fail to provide tracking for the order shipment
- You do not ship the order on time
- The order arrives late or not at all
- You send the order to the wrong address

We may hold you responsible for reasons that are not listed above.

You have 30 days to submit an appeal if you would like to dispute this decision. To do so, open the A-to-z Guarantee Claims page (https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/...ims/home.html/). Find order xxxxxxxxxxxx in the list, click “Appeal decision”, and follow the on-screen instructions. Once you have appealed, our team will re-investigate the A-to-z Guarantee claim.

We may request for more information throughout our investigation. If you do not respond to a request within 3 days, your appeal will be denied.

To review our A-to-z Guarantee policies, visit our help pages in Seller Central: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/...ml?itemID=1781

Sincerely,

The Amazon A-to-z Guarantee Team"

I guess if you do not ship the order on time or carriers pick up it late you will loose the claim if Buyer contact the customer support. Way to go Amazon, they became more stupid than last year.

Yes that's right this is what Amazon do and scammers knows these tricks

Don't think you will get money back since they clearly stated

Why does that not surprise me.

Any discussions with either about the no pick-up?

That is a high amount to be out of pocket.

Ugh, FBM has a lot of risk... I'm sorry I wish I know how to help.

If I were in your shoes, I'd call their ears off until I get justice

Re: claim lost because not shipping on time?

Even if it was late one day for pickup, sometimes I ship late 3 or 4 days and it still gets delivered on time.

If it was during one of the recent noreastern storms, Amazon has that data, they emailed sellers in those areas.....Can not see how an appeal could work. for $400 I would email the carrier and confirm pickup did not happen because of weather and include email as pdf file in appeal.

Re: claim lost because not shipping on time?

Ya, AMAZON AZ claim is the heavenily given tools for AMAZON scammers.
I simply raise my prices on AMAZON, which is, most of the time, double the price or even higher of what I sold on eBay.

And I found that AMAZOn buyers just love higher prices, I have higher sales vloume after I raise my AMAZON selling price ... haha ... which not just covers my shipping cost (signature confirmation) and more profit for me...

Scammers are not stupid, they always looks for loop holes. they come to AMAZON to buy my products just bexause they have been blocked from my eBay listings and they really get tired of changing their eBay ID all day long .. they just confused themselves.

So they pay higher, higher prices on AMAZON, and I ship signature confirmation, they either sign for it or the package returned to me for refund without shipping fee ..

There are still some loop holes out there for AMAZON, but I am tighten up my net ..... :-)

That's odd, as usually they instantly grant claims if no tracking information is present on the order page and you say you provided tracking when you marked as dispatched?

Re: claim lost because not shipping on time?

$419 is a lot to chew.... I'm just wondering, how about making contact with the buyer directly?

Maybe even try to find out what his phone number is and call?

Speaking of price, you still have to be competitive against the other sellers though. Can't just sell $20 when your other sellers are at $10

There's his phone number on the Amazon Order but when i called, it's an invalid number. So, i had to trace his address through whitepage and get his real number. Called, after i mentioned about the Amazon Claim, he shut off the phone. Beware of this type of Scam, Amazon is full of scammers now.
