2 step authentication problem

Hello

So i Have an iphone , which I installed on it the google authentication app.

I then disconnected it from the internet , and connected few accounts to it.

Now , the iphone battery has finished, and when i recharged it , the time on the phone was incorrect , and therefore , the authentication code i get does not work on Amazon login .

And advice on what to do now?
I am locked out of this accounts.

seems to have to do with the phone... I'd go to a store and check if they can repair it or have any tips for you.

If the only issue is that the time is correct then just change the time to the correct time

Seems like that may not be the only issue though? I have never used that APP though so my knowledge is limited with Re to it

Set time correctly on phone. iPhone I dont even think you can set it... its automatic? just make sure its right I guess.

Then on the Google Authenticator app, open it up, go to settings, time correction, sync now.

FYI - You dont need internet access to use authenticator apps. They are time based codes.

Also, if you cannot get app to work, but have access to the phone number on the Amazon account, you should be able to request SMS/Phone call as an alternative option.

Good luck!

I second the above advice.

Can't get any clearer than that.

As for my situation... I completely deleted the authenticator and I lost access to my phone... so I was in a much deeper pit.

I never liked or trusted the authenticator app, I just use two numbers instead: Main number and the backup number.

The iphone time settings was set to automatic , but since the phone is not online , it stopped to sync.
I tries setting the time manually , but it still gets the wrong code.
Should i put the phone online again to sync actual exact time?
Is there any risk to getting linked fro the authnticator app while its online with a few accounts connected to it ?

Maybe get the backup codes and use another phone.

There is no risk to using it with multiple accounts while the phone is online.
