Pro Seller Account downgrade to Individual Account
 
I have a pro amazon account and it did not sell well. I would like to downgrade it to Individual account. My question is does Amazon require me to upload docs again If i downgrade it?

No. At least for UK accounts anyway but I can't see why it would be any different.

UK NO but in the US, they will ask for documents when you try to upgrade. It happened to me few months ago.

I would say it would be illogical for Amazon to request docs again just because you're changing the account type. I doubt they would.

Nope, they won't... just do it and it should be peachy, or you can even call them and do it for you on the spot if you have trouble finding the option to do it.

There is no issue to downgrade to individual and you shouldn’t be asked to verify your account

But if you go back to pro after downgrading there is a good chance you will be asked to verify

Others are right, they may ask for docs again if you upgrade to pro once again.

The question I've always had is if Amazon keeps a record of the prior docs you sent and compares them to the new ones you upload. Only one way to find out!

Well, if you want to send them a completely different doc and see what happens, that'd be the only way. But of course if you just want to try it to test with a totally worthless account.

Why would you want to even risk sending in completely different docs? Makes zero sense.

docs that were sent previously on older aged accounts would no longer stand up to the current scrutiny by seller performance

I think they do keep a record and compare previous docs.

On a legit account I had as a Ltd. company the docs originally used included a passport. When they requested docs again, I stupidly sent a driving licence with all the same details but with a different photo that I used for PP. The result was a total block on the account. I couldn't log in. The phone call I made did not result in any information as to why, only that I can no longer use AMZ.

May I ask what was the time frame between you sending the passport and the drivers license was? I am assuming when they requested docs again this was due to a upgrade to pro?
