Amazon asking for drivers liscense/Passport for new account

Is this a new policy, have used Amazon Ghost to great success but I have no idea when they started this or if its random on US seller accounts?

Do all US seller accounts now require this?

Is there a way around this, thanks so much guys I am very worried

This is now standard practice. Amazon requires two documents initially: 1) National ID 2) Bank statement

If you do not provide you will be suspended / unable to sell.

No workaround, they must be given what they asked. Amazon is a new ball game now a days. If you get stuck you may want to check out the marketplace for an amazon account seller

Yes, so I just gave them all those info. I haven't gotten any issues with creating some of mine yet luckily.

I'm curious as what Elmo has to say here tho.
