Request for invoices on 3 random(?) listings

So i've just got the email below for 3 seemingly random items out of 150 listed.

Hello,

In order to ensure the authenticity of items for sale on Amazon, we are reviewing your inventory for the ASIN listed below. Your listings are still active, but we would like to work with you to complete our review.

Within 7 days, please reply to this email with the following:

Copies of invoices or receipts from your supplier issued in the last 365 days. These should reflect your sales volume during that time.
Contact information for your supplier, including name, phone number, address, and website.

I could just ditch the items but would this open me up to a wider review? What happens if i just delete the 3 items without providing invoices?

I could give 'creative' invoices but if they fail verification could this lead to a wider review (and even account closure if they object to my listings)?
Worst case scenario is i lose funds already in my account, i really don't want that.

Creative Invoices.....Amazon will most likely contact the supplier you put on those invoices. If you don't have real invoices, stop and move on to an item you do have legit invoices for.

Problem is....i have a stealth account so my Amazon Stealth details would not be recognised by the supplier anyway.

If i ignore the requests will amazon just take down those listings? Or will it lead to them looking at the whole account?

Ignoring Amazon requests often leads to bad things down the road - just saying...

How long after uploading these ASIN's did you get this invoice request?

I don't believe deleting them would get out you out of having to provide invoices.

It seems your only option here is to get 'creative' invoices and hope Amazon accepts them.

The Asin's have been up a number of months...so still trying to guess why they picked these 3 items in particular? No one customer bought all three (ruling out single customer complaint) but 1 had a refund against it and 1 didn't arrive. Not sure about the third?

It's a tricky one. The risk assesment is this:

1. Provide creative invoice and it is accepted (i've read that the first one isn't checked throughly....only second and subsequent ones are investigated with contacting the supplier?). This is the best outcome.

2. Provide creative invoice but it is rejected. If they remove the 3 items and move on this would be fine, but i suspect this will flag the whole account.
This is bad and i would have to consider slowing the sales down and getting as much disbursement as possible before getting a review.

3. Not providing an invoice would mean removal of 3 items (that's fine) and then be left till next time.
Fairly good outcome. Would never be sure if they would ask again anytime soon.

4. Not providing an invoice leads to removal of 3 items but also review of whole account.
Bad outcome. Could potentially lose accounts and stop disbursements in the meantime.

This Aspkin thread from 2 years ago suggests not doing anything and letting ASINs go rather than risking the account with phony documents.

Your account could get suspended if you do not provide the invoices requested.

I would suggest you risk not providing the invoice anyway. That’s better than providing a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ invoice since amazon call suppliers now to check

Usually they just take down the listings.

But it might happen again. One day you'll need to provide the invoices.

I had the same problem and at the fourth shot they wanted invoices or they threatened to close the account. However first 3 shots they just take down your listings.

hi. Same thing happened to me. Same random 3 items from 100+ items i have. I gave them receipts from items i brought with was not the same size and i didnt provide nothing for one and they took down my account. i email them several times and they replied but they said I can no longer sell on amazon. My advice is to get another account asap if you have no invoice because they are gonna take your rights to sell. They got this going on where they doing that to everybody. Under some items i sell they took down everybody except for one lol.....

Have you considered buying legit products from legit distributors so you have legit invoices?

You should realize the issue that most people are experiencing is they have legit distributors but their Amazon Stealth account information will not match the invoices from the distributor.

how do you present the "creative" invoice if you have legit supplier but different register information on Amazon?

All you're after is the actual invoice which are typically emailed right?

Would you be comfortable spending $10,000 on inventory under a made up name to an address you may not have physical relationship with (or exist)? Add additional complications if this is coming from outside your country and going through customs. Not to mention the AVS complications regarding your charge method used to buy from your supplier.
