Seller Fulfilled Prime: Amazon Takes Over Customer Service?
 

Hey all, I was going through the Seller Fullfilled Prime tour and at the end it says Amazon will now handle all customer service

Just curious what this entails and to get some opinions/stories from those that are using it

Does going Seller Fulfilled Prime start raising flags?

If you use Amazon FBA, are you talking about FBA handling customer service/returns?

I also saw FBM prime and applied for it, this is the e mail i got-

They can handle matters relating to shipping status, delivery progress, items lost in transit etc. - the very general service as they deal with that side of things.

For matters pertaining to the items being sold, those buyer questions will get routed to you to answer.

Is seller fulfilled prime the type where you print a shipping label provided by Amazon and you drop it off yourself? They have that now? That would be awesome! That way Amazon doesn't hijack your stuff.

Yep. That's exactly how it works. But I assume they will be very stringent in ensuring you ship items on time, so customers are getting delivery within the one day window.

P.S. There are still some great perks to FBA and letting them handle it all from their side.

With direct FBA, the problem is that amazon can hijack your stuff.

Yes you're 100% right. But this self fulfilled programme takes away the primary premise of why it came into force in the first place. To allow sellers to focus on selling, and let Amazon take care of picking, packing, posting ... which lets be honest takes up a considerable amount of time.

It's not anything to do with FBA that I was offered

It simply says Seller Fullfilled Prime and you get a Prime badge on all of your listings

Just a bit apprehensive to make any move until I know for certain what this entails

Does anyone have experience with it?

Since I've been offered the Prime status I've also noticed some brands have been ungated such as Microsoft and Panasonic which is strange
