Does amazon.ca send any documents to account addresses?
 

I understand that Amazon.com sellers receive 1099's after $20,000 in sales in the mail. If this is based on whether they enter a SSN/EIN or register as a non-us citizen, I don't know.

Does Amazon.ca send any sort of mail to account address? I only learned earlier this year Amazon.com actually sends out 1099's to account addresses. Id like to know if Amazon.ca has any similar situations.

You should be given the option to receive any mail electronically

Where? I have never heard of Amazon sending anything to people in the mail in the first place (Besides 1099's) but where I can I set it to be electronically?

Is any other form of paperwork or documents sent to Amazon.ca addresses? Or anything pertaining to Canada only? Anything related the your account, gross yearly sales or amount of GST/HST collected? Anything at all? Or does Amazon.ca never send out mail to my seller address?

Any Canadian sellers ever get any mail from Amazon to their seller address?

they shouldn't be receiving anything in the mail but I would be curious if someone does report that they have received something

Since you are American you should know all Amazon.com sellers who enter their SSN/EIN get mailed 1099's to their address every year. Amazon has until the end of January to do this as required by the IRS. So whatever stealth address you use will be getting your mail.

Since I only learned about this recently, id like to know what other things Amazon sends - particularly for Amazon.ca sellers.

Can any other Canadians chime on here please? Have you ever received any mail from Amazon? :canada: :canada:

My 9 year old Amazon seller store has never received anything in the mail

But that is because I selected to receive electronic mail delivery

Its a good idea to ask others if they have received anything though, but I don't think they send anything unless you select to receive mail by post

incorrect. I never received my 1099s by mail. Always email. The only thing I ever received in the mail was a christmas card from Amazon lending lol.

Does your Amazon.com account have tax information on it? Or was it created with form W8-BEN stating you are a non US citizen?

Ive searched through all my account settings I see no place where it displays to "email only" for physical mai. I see notifications for sales, price suggestions, and others but not for to disable physical mail.

Its a legit account. Dude they are not sending 1mil 1099's to all their sellers in the mail. You get an email when the item is ready to view in your account.

Where do you set electronic mail delivery for physical mail on amazon? The only section of the account for this is notifications but its not about mail its sales notifications and fba shipment arrivals etc which u can have notify u by email or sms or have it disabled.

What are you referring to here?

Nope, they do not send any physical mail to Canadian adresses.
