Change of business ownership, interesting question
 

I am curious how this hypothetical would be handled by Amazon.

Say I own a business called "Joes Midwest Supplies" and was banned from Amazon.

Say I sell my business to a new owner and he retains the business name, "Joes Midwest Supplies" and now wants to sell on Amazon.

How would Amazon handle it? Would they just reject it or would they allow you to show proof of ownership change? I would assume this has occurred before...

They would probably get linked and have suspension/linking issues

Every account must have unique information and you must never re-use the same information across multiple amazon stores

There are two things that will happen:
First: They will tell you that name "Joes Midwest Supplies" is not available
or
Second: They will allow you to open an account with name "Joes Midwest Supplies" but after first review your account will be deleted.
