AMZ Prime Shipping to Resell?
 

Hello All,

I wanted to find out if it is okay to use Prime Shipping when dropshipping FROM Amazon to Ebay and other platforms?

In much older posts I've seen that it may be considered taboo by Amazon. If so what is the work around to avoid them shutting down my Prime Account?

Should I use a REGULAR account to ship?

They will kick you out of Prime as soon as they realize what you're doing, because they don't like sellers using their discounted postage rates to profit for themselves. I say that because I've seen dozens of threads here about people who were dropshipping with Prime and got their account closed when AZ caught on.

Wait for others to post suggestions since I don't have experience dropshipping. I can't recall any good workarounds to prevent them from kicking you out of Prime.

Short term it works, long term it doesnt. Been that way for years

Eventually Amazon does latch on and limit the account.

From my understanding they only have an issue if you're abusing the prime service. If you do the same with standard shipping, they have no issue. I may be wrong here though, but that was the case before, not sure if things have changed.

It depends how many items are you dropshipping a day. If you do not abuse it then you should be fine.

I can confirm that.
It depends on the number of order / day and / month.
Don’t know for the US, but in Europe something like 30 orders per day via one prime prime account doesn’t cause problems, anyway maybe it’s not the same in the US.

But you can have multiple stealth buying accounts and spread your orders. I’ve been doing it for years.

I mean you could keep making accounts, heck get .edu emails and get 6 months free prime

I second that, more stealth buyer accounts , more safe. Just spread it out.

You could always have it shipped to you and reship from that point.... wait, that's just CRAZY!!!

But what about postage costs? If its large item than cost of posting expensive compared to Amazon postage fee, what is the point of dropshipping if OP loses on postage fee, if its small item than this a good idea to reship from your address

Part of the cost of doing business.

If you can't get the product to you and ship it out and make decent money your margin is too thin, you're just churning dollars.

I have only used it when my stock was off -1 and had to make customer happy. I have lost money on those transactions, however customer was happy and I was able to move on. I did though give them a heads up that it would come from prime. I explained I paid extra and got extra good feedback.

But that's MAYBE 1-2 a month

I have done exactly the same thing, both from Amazon and from other eBay sellers

Its saved me a few times when I have been in a pinch when I need to replace an item or an item has gotten lost in the post
