Amazon vacation settings vs taking listings down

Hi, I am a bit paranoid, but last time I went on vacation I was reviewed and suspended. I did get my account back, but I am paranoid. I am not longer selling the stuff that got me suspended. However I want to know what you guys think.

Are vacation settings more likely to get a review?

Should I use settings or just make my listings inactive. I only sell about 10 things, so it would be easy to do.

Going on Vacation triggers account review, you better put your listings as inactive.

I think when you put your account on vacation mode your account gets disconnected from Amazon system, and when you return it system may treat you a as new seller and Amazon bot sends you account for manual review and at that point account might be placed for review and funds will be on hold or worse your selling privileges can be removed. This crazy i know, but thats what happens with Amazon.

When it happened to me last time I got shutdown while on vacation. There was also a negative product review on one of my products so it may just be coincidence.

Never heard that, about vacation mode triggering review.

I always use vacation mode, no issues.

It won't happen all the time, it usually triggers on my USA accounts than EU ones.

happened on my UK account

if you go on vacation mode for longer than 2 weeks and then start selling again it will trigger a review

got funds locked up now for the last month

I like to avoid vacation settings

If you need to keep a store dormant, add your own debit/credit with sufficient balance to cover the monthly fees. Its much safer to avoid that review

Download your listings and change the handling time instead of putting your shop on vacation. Anything 10 days and under seems to not trigger any response in my experience.
