I never though they would ask this before my first sale though, not happened on other accounts, do you recommend setting up new account or submitting docs.

No harm in submitting them

A lot of the time Amazon will ask for a few docs upfront before any sales are made these days

Make sure the information on the bank statement shows the account information matching perfectly

Make sure to remove EXIF info from the statement

Good luck

Whenever you update your bank account details on Amazon EU, you will be asked to provide bank statement to confirm your bank account ownership details. Even though your previous bank details were verified.

Nowadays it doesn't matter whether its first time or last time, you must have bank statements ready for verification purposes. You cannot skip this step. You even can't change the name on account. Couple of months ago you could enter any name and any account number for withdrawals. But now its getting harder and harder to open stealth accounts.

Can Amazon track the true bank Account name with sort code and acc no.? Or would they overlook linking the account name to sort code/Acc no.

Banks won't share your details with Amazon, Amazon cannot find out your real name through your sort code or account number.

I don't think that is necessarily true

Some UK folks may have more information on that but I think there are companies that can reveal the bank holders name providing a sort and account #

The only way Amazon can see your real name is if you use a debit card in your own name, and they take payment on it.

Why is the removal of EXIF data necessary?

Because there is data in photos that if the photos are re-used, could potentially link accounts

Out of the blue I have been asked to provide bank account proof for 1 of my stealth accounts. No email just a message on my Amazon seller page.
I did notice the word 'immediate' so looks like you have less time than usual to provide this.

Any advice how this data can be removed? It is only a matter of photos being re-used or where the photos are taken also. So if taken in an area where another account has been blocked, would they flag it?

A programme like Easy Exif Delete works well.

Obviously every time you submit a document for verification there is a chance it will be rejected and the account suspended.

It's been over 2 weeks and my account is still actively selling with disbursements being made. Wondering how long i can maintain this without supplying stealth bank statement?

Wondering if they give reminders or just suspend after a certain time frame?

I have a creative statement ready to upload but it isn't perfect (similar font but not spot on) so there is a chance they will reject and hold for 90 days (reality check....almost always over 90 days and then ignore emails!!!)

If they reject they'll likely suspend you / give kiss of death. They will likley hold your funds for 90 days.

Im very surprised EU accounts require docs for every bank change. .CA and .COM do not require this for bank changes.
