VAT at AMAZON

Hi there,

I have stealth account which is based in UK. I hit German VAT threshold and Amazon set deadline for me to upload VAT number.

Is any possibilities to get VAT number with stealth account/info? Or somehow to trick the system in order to continue selling on Amazon.

Any advices, free, paid are welcome privately or on this thread.

There is no work around, you need the information to match your VAT details put into the store.

Move onto another stealth shop or plan ahead and get those details together for next time

Gosh... is this email triggered in all cases? I mean, as soon as you hit the German VAT threshold, will Amazon set a deadline for you to submit a German VAT number?
I'm asking this because I've been selling for quite a while in Italy, well beyond the threshold, and it seems that Amazon doesn't have the obligation of asking you to provide with a Italian VAT number

If you use FBA then they need VAT, if you sell only FBM no worries, they will not ask for VAT.

This can be achieved to a degree. You are able to set up new companies and pay for directorship, this will allow you to open a new Amazon account and pass the VAT verification step.

Alot of accountants are able to offer this service. Its not cheap.

Say that Swim doesn't want to pay VAT.
1) Will they just block Swim's seller account or will they close Swim's listings as well? Can Swim keep selling under a stealth account restoring the previous listings?
2) What are the precautions to take?
3) Can this be sustainable in the long run?

I think there is no way to trigger this but you can ask expert and take their advice.
