Starting on Amazon
 

Hello everyone,

After selling for couple of years on ebay I decided to enter Amazon waters too.

I already have an Amazon account which I have been using to buy stuff.
Should I create another Amazon account for selling or is it strictly against the rules and I will be suspended and hence I should start selling using the account which I already have?

I'd hold on to this buyer account. Make a separate Amazon using stealth techniques.

That way if you ever get suspended, you can still use your buying account to shop on amazon.

Is amazon stealth similar to ebay? Which means new IP, cookies, name and address?

Yes, but in addition to all of that, my advice will be get a separate laptop and dedicate it to ONE amazon seller account.

Amazon are a lot more tougher when it comes to linking/tracking techniques. A new cheap laptop will make things a lot easier for you.

1. Lots of obstacles. Lots, lots, lots. Be prepared to invest a lot of time and effort.

2. Some products that do well on ebay dont do so well on amazon, and vice versa.

pick up amazon ghost by aspkin and give it a read, it should address the most common types of questions you'll have starting out on amazon stealth

It's safe to have an Amazon seller account and a separate amazon buyer account. There are no rules against this. So long as you refrain from ever making that buyer account a seller, you are fine. Were I you, I would make your current Amazon buyer account a seller account and create a new Amazon buyer account. History on your buyer account is good for your seller account.

I wasn't implying you cannot do this. I was just saying don't burn your real account by making mistakes. Getting back on Amazon thereafter can be a real hurdle.

That's perfectly safe, so long as one remains a seller and the other a buyer. You can not ever make that other one a seller account or they'll ban them. I had this confirmed by an Amazon Support Rep in a chat. I did so before creating a separate buyer account myself. I've had no issues due to that.

So amazon is much more advanced in tracking people down.
Amazon ghost would certainly help you, plus you have experience with ebay stealth already too.

Amazon can be a great source of income, but be very prepared mentally that it can and will be very tough from time to time due to the amazon system itself, hostile competitors and idiotic buyers.

So just keep this in the back of your mind so that you don't get caught off guard and give up prematurely.
