Does Amazon actually know exactly which supplier works with who?
 

Let's say I have know this firm/company, I have all their info, legit invoices, phone number, website, everything. Does Amazon know this is a verified supplier right from the get go?

No, amazon only looks to see if the business is legit, and has everything they require on an invoice.

The other major factor is amazon looks is your seller account status... and it also heavily depends on the rep overseeing the approval

Big name suppliers are probably known, and they probably know what their invoices look like.

Smaller ones, all they can see is the information you provide them. Some reps are probably looking up the site/verifying the products are sold on the site

Some are calling to verify details etc

Beatiful, have you tried with "smaller" supplier invoices and it worked? I'm more concerned about that.

Anything works, it just depends on the issue and brand. Just make sure all your info and suppliers info shows on invoice. Most of the times that is an auto approve, but sometimes amazon will take it deeper and call the supplier to verify that your invoices qty's match what you sent them.

I personally believe the "risk" of the item is also a part in how far Amazon takes it. Apple, Microsoft, Samsung branded product? Expect Amazon to set a high priority in verifying.

And if it's a small company, even though they got a website and all other info, should work yea?

well said!

small company can still get high end brands approved but as canadianleaf mentioned, expect a phone call to verify invoice on higher risk items. Phone calls don't always happen, but more often than not on higher branded items

do they email the small company as well? I have a supplier that's on the small side. Amazon probably have an easier time contacting them through the contacts page rather than a phone call. Although if they do call the number, they'd probably have to leave a message.

I haven't seen them email yet, but I have seen many phone calls to the suppliers

They probably wouldn't do that since it can take days to hear back
