Anti-Trust action against Amazon in Germany.

Authorities in Germany are in the process of launching an Anti-Trust probe against Amazon.

Sellers across Germany are accusing Amazon of shady competition practices. They are also accusing Amazon of illegally withholding funds of blocked accounts.

I hope this probe will be EU-wide and I also would love to see an Anti-Trust lawsuit in the US.

Amazon is rigging search results and pushing their own products. Please don't argue that it is a private company and they should be allowed to do that because that is not the case here.

A lot of listings are far better than the crappy Amazon ones, yet they are pushed down the toilet :smash:

Let's wait and see how this will play out!

When are people going to speak about amazon themselves selling more counterfeit products than all 3rd party merchants combined.

They sell big brand merchandise sourced directly from Chinese vender central.

LOL. Guess what else? They are kicking known brands off their platform and at the same time allowing 3rd party sellers to sell merchandise of the same "brands" that they booted off the marketplace.

I read an article yesterday about Amazon asking brands not to sell products themselves, but rather sell it to Amazon at wholesale price so that Amazon could then sell it to their customers at retail prices. Justification for that is that Amazon wanted to control selling prices on the platform and cause less "confusion" to the end-customer.

I can't wait to see if anything will come out of this anti-trust action in Germany. I hope they will be forced to change their malicious behavior against everyone. The motherf**ckers used 3rd party sellers to scale their operation and now they want to become Walmart online while cutting everyone off in that process.

Major brands are strong-armed and could give Amazon the middle finger and business will keep going. However, that is not the case with small to medium sized brands that could literally go broke if Amazon decides to drive them out.

Not getting big hopes up - a lot of smoke and mirrors with this action
