It depends on the age of the accounts in question.

You do it off the bat on a new account and you will be shut down ASAP.

Especially with AGCs

If you don't have experiencing running amazon shops with GCs, avoid it, it will cost you money and time when your shops start going down.

Instead use your CC, assuming it hasn't been used on amazon before to make the purchases. You'll have a much better experience

what sort of volumes are you doing each month?

I'd recommend not ordering more than 5k a day on an amazon buyer account

You want to avoid using GCs on a brand new amazon buyer account, and ideally you'll want several buyer accounts to spread the buying volume on a newly registered store

Add your own debit/credit cards for the buying, don't use GCs at first or you will have issues.

Eventually start adding GCs as you build history, but don't add GCs you are buying from shady places/sellers. Only add GCs that are purchased with cash in store, and you can vet the seller. Otherwise high risk GCs will get your shop closed fast

Gift cards are not a long term solution as others have pointed out.

how about starting with VCC with balances on them..?

All my cards are cash bought. their not sketchy. I just have the ability to get a lot of them for discount.

If you're buying the GCs in person with cash, then the source of them should be solid, which means you shouldn't have any issues with the buyer account

Its only when you start buying sketchy cards and adding them to your accounts do they start causing issues
