amazon search rankings

i sell items on amazon and try not to get into price wars but i have better feedback than 2 competitors and each time they listed before in the listings, how does their rankings work?

Age of their accounts and number of transactions comes into play.

If another seller has 97% rating for 3000 sales on a 4 yr old acct - it's better than a 100% rating on 12 sales for a 2 week old account.

is it number of sales or number of feedback? if its sales then i guess a price war it is then lol

Vicvelcro 07-27-2009 01:57 AM

You didn't read that properly. It's the number of sales which have received feedback. Not the number of sales OR the feedback.

You need more sales AND people to give those sales some feedback.

other sellers of my item have 84% on 25 and 93% on 223, the person with 84% is always listed first

I always noticed that items are listed by price, low to high, by default.
