Connecting wifi to new computer
 

Hey guys,

I have just purchased a new laptop to go full stealth mode.

I have seen mentioned in the stealth book that Amazon tracks MAC address on the first connecting device (router). Would it be best to connect to wifi in a public place like Starbucks?

I know a bunch of people say that amazon does not track MAC address but I would like to take extra measures to protect myself from future amazon changes.

1. Amazon, ebay, PayPal cannot see your MAC address.

2. Do not use Public Wifi, if you do....just throw away your account now.

3. New Computer is a bit extreme but if that's the extent you went to then so be it.

New computer wasn't necessarily for stealth purchases, I just needed a new computer lol. When you say don't use public wifi, do you mean like forever?

I personally don't trust public Wifi. I rather use my own Mifi. You may be safe if you use a VPN with the Public Wifi.

avoid public wifi

get yourself a mobile hotspot, dongle, or VPN.

much safer/convenient options out there :thumb:

Yes like in forever.
So the nice thing about IPburger is that it comes with an app that you can install into your laptop.

wherever you as long as that app is connected, you'll be using your VPN IP.

This is what I do with my Macbook that's dedicated to Amazon stuff.

I honestly feel more secure too since I'm not piggy backing on some random IP.


If you don't already have it, I recommend yo ualso read the amazon ghost.

Best $ you'll spend to get your stuff going.

Yep already have read through the amazon ghost and frequently go back to it. So using public wifi with IP burger dedicated VPN = just as good as home wifi + ipburger VPN?

That is correct, as long as the app says it's connected you are good to go.

BTW, you can use the code from amazon ghost in this forum to get the free 6 mo VIP accress. And it'll also give you an emblem next to your name.

Crap I didn't know that I could get a free 6 month access and paid for it already. Gonna make a second stealth so Ill just use it then. Thanks for the heads up
