Stealth legal name as DBA
Thoughts on this? (This is for Amazon.ca)
Change legal entity from sole-prop to a partnership. For the partnership name enter my legal DBA name. Legal im a sole-prop (I dont own a partnership).
The legal entity on the account will show my DBA. Legally DBA's are not actual "legal entities", but the account will display my DBA, not a stealth name for the "legal entity".
The business number used will be my Sole-prop BN for GST/HST collection.
If audited my account reports will show legal entity of my DBA. IDK what else could happen. Although, if Amazon.ca reports anything in the future to the CRA they may question why its a partnership not a sole-prop.
