Advice on account reinstatement....

First off let me say thanks in advance!

Now, the deets!

Wife had account banned (unbeknownst to both of us) as we were winding down our business on amazon a few years ago. Went thru a time of adjusting business model etc etc and sales were non-existent. Nevertheless, the ban went unnoticed for some time. Fast forward a couple of years and i want to get back on amazon and open a seller account. obviously banned pretty instantly!

So, i have been talking with amazon to get the account opened up again and have hit a bit of a wall that i need some sage advice on. I have submitted my plan of action and been met with the response that theyd be happy to reinstate me but, not at this time....let me copy / paste the email:
Hello,

Your plan does not sufficiently address your policy violation: you have listed items that you are not approved to sell.

To be sufficient, your plan must:
-- Include more details about the steps you have taken to prevent future policy violations.
-- Show that you have taken responsibility for this policy violation.

If you would like us to reinstate your account, please reply to this email with an updated plan. If it sufficiently addresses the policy violation, we will reinstate your account.

and the plan as outlined to amazon:
Upon a lengthy reflection of the policies and rules of the Amazon marketplace, I have written the following plan of action regarding my seller account. Clearly, I have violated the rules and trust of Amazon as a seller and will not continue to do so if allowed back onto the marketplace. To do this, I shall apply the following measures to my items for sale moving forward:
-Will aggressively avoid any and ALL items that could be confused as, mistaken for, associated with, or reasonably described as Nike / Michael Jordan / Lebron James.
-Will also aggressively self police my vendors, manufacturers, and wholesalers and cease to do business with said businesses that carry items that may even remotely have me carrying said items.
-Further, will keep in exceedingly close contact with seller support for any instance related to seller account health issues and compliance issues.
-Will increase presence and inventory amounts with FBA to alleviate errors in shipping and shipping times and to increase customer satisfaction.
Once again, I feel that while these changes are a good starting point, the most important issue is the fact that I clearly take full and unmitigated ownership of the issues as they were previously and can say with certainty that I will not engage in those activities moving forward. In the larger scheme of things, I understand that amazon MUST police its site and therefore its sellers in a way that makes the platform safe for ALL customers to shop with confidence and I am 100% on board with that idea.

Thank you for allowing me to reflect and think upon how I can be a better seller on the platform!

Please any help or thoughts would be GREATLY appreciated!

Re: Advice on account reinstatement....

It's a nice write-up but if you are implicated in the selling of "Nike / Michael Jordan / Lebron James"....Amazon could be tough to appeal on a policy violation...
