Individual to PRO upgrade
 

Hi,

I have a quick question. I have an aged Amazon account, which isn't gated. Last year, I completed the ID verification for it (ID/bank statement).

Since the account isn't gated for the listings I'm interested in, I'm planning to use it more now for FBA or merchant fulfilled. Should I keep it as an individual account? Would it cause more trouble if I upgrade to pro, triggering more checks or having them gate the listings?

Also, I'll have to update the w9 info for it. Would this cause any problem?

What usually happens when you upgrade to Pro?

Some will state ind to pro will trigger id even if it passed before. no one knows for sure.

i downgraded and upgraded to pro on two accounts recently. one was by accident and immediate back to pro with no request for id. the other was after like 6-8 months, no request for id.

both of these accounts were verified with id previously.

It depends how long its been since you downgraded, but most of the time you will have to re-verify with docs no older than 90 days.

If you're using your real info/real docs then its not necessarily an issue

It never was pro, this would be the first time I upgrade to PRO from when I made it like 4-5 years ago.

I upgraded it to PRO a week ago, so far it's doing good, nothing was asked

If so far so good, then hope it stays that way.

If anything, just preparee right now in case they do ask for reverification in the future.

Sometimes with age and account history they don't request them

I have the same experience with aged individual stores
