I set up a new account in my Dad's name....all of his information. I haven't lived with him for 20 years (I'm married, so different last name). Anyway, Amazon immediately suspended the account saying it was linked to someone that isn't allowed to sell on Amazon. Does Amazon link family members by name? He was staying at my house for a few days and logged onto his laptop through my internet (He didn't log into Amazon).....could this be how they linked it? Any possible way of appealing this one and getting the account reinstated for him? Thank you!

Tell us everything you did to create your stealth account. How was it made, how old was it, was it using a vpn, vmware, what u were selling on, did you reuse any info, bank details, phone, address, etc? You are not telling us enough info.

Your father has a different name that's not linkable, unless he made his own seller account.

My Dad set up a brand new seller account (I helped him) ... it was his name, credit card, bank account, phone number, address, ID, etc. All information was brand new information that honestly was my Dad's. He set it up on his laptop, at his apartment. We didn't do any privacy settings with internet ... I didn't think that was a problem since it was his personal laptop. I never got a chance to list any items. Within minutes of it being verified, Amazon suspended the account, saying it was linked to someone that can no longer sell on Amazon. He did come to my place and log onto my internet with his laptop (but he didn't log onto Amazon from my internet).

I'm wondering if he could have actually got linked from someone within his apartment complex? If that's the case, I would think I should be able to fight it and get reinstated.

Just wondering if there's a way to get the account reinstated. Not sure what kind of an action plan to present to Amazon?

Were you yourself previously suspended from Amazon? Was this account accessed from your home IP and/or your dads homes IP? If so this could be a potential problem.

If you previously had a suspended amazon account which you accessed on your home IP and your dad accesses your local home IP but didnt log onto Amazon im not sure how this could link. Im thinking possibly your dad may have other auxillary amazon software, plugins, software etc on his laptop that may have been used or accessed during his visit at your house or some sort of "amazon" device. Think hard about this. Is your dad 100% correct he used none of amazons software, services or accessed the amazon website during the time he used your home IP? Cookies of some sort of prior IP's accessed I dont believe is something amazon has access to. For example - I used my stealth accounts VMware machine which has used my local IP multiple times (but not accessing amazon).

Thanks so much for your response! I appreciate you taking the time to respond. My account was suspended about 6 months ago. While my dad was here, he did use my IP, but Amazon was never accessed.... I gave him very strict orders about that, and he's obedient :).

Well, maybe I should try to appeal this if there's a possibility that we're not linked. Thanks again!

Very different game the Amazon platform is. It is possible you were inadvertently linked by something he did that he didn't tell you - just saying.

Learn the ghost method and get back on AZ.

here's what you need to do:

1. Grab the amazon ghost.
2. REALLY take your time learning it then come back here to get more questions answered before you even start.

Im seconding RSOT's response that he inadvertently linked by something he did that he didn't tell you (or didnt realize) would would jeopardize your account.
