Red Blocks

Sent in 6 variations of a stuffed animal into FBA in the US. Fully legit product from our distributor in Canada. The moment 4 listings went live they were Red Blocked and email sent out needing retraction from Manufacturer or verification of Authenticity from Manufacturer. Contacted manufacturer and explained where we got them. She apologized that they assumed we were selling Kn0ck0ff and told us the US distributor should have told our Canadian distributor not to list them in the US.
Sent "suck-up" response back asking if they could send the retraction into AZ, but now not answering our emails back.
If these 4 "Red Blocks" stay on our account (no performance notification though), how close are we to suspension?
Account is FBA only with only 3 neg feedbacks in last 2 years, no other performance notifications and 5 years old.
Been 4 days since the Red Blocks.

Thanks

Re: Red Blocks

Got the same email again this morning, for the remaining 2 listings.
Wondering if this is 2 strikes, or 6 strikes against us?
Thanks

But to answer your question, now you've had two strikes then yes, you are now on very thin ice.

Actual not Grey imports. The products just went through too many hands. Went from Manufacturer, to US distributor, to Canadian distributor, then our company. If our Canadian Distributor had not dome a BOGO sale, we never would have been able to compete.
Manufacturer has already agreed that ours are authentic, but do not want to fix the "guilty until proven innocent" they imposed on us with AZ.

Seems like your in contact with the manufacturer, try and get an authorisation letter off them.

We are trying but they are ignoring us. I even have it in an email that the manufacturer "assumed we were selling Kn0ck0ffs" then said the distributor should have told us no US sales without authorization.
Now have our distributor getting involved.

I know the manufacturer's email is the true definition of Slander, but don't want to go that route yet. Just want the listings cleared up.

Guess they don't care about making things right.

Just a head's up, the Manufacturer is William Mark Corporation that is causing our problems.

Yeah your account will be suspended sooner or later. Best to give them a call and let them know the situation and perhaps tell them you will remove the listings off amazon

Not really such a simple solution but one can try - Amazon can be tough to negotiate with.

According to the manufacturers website the sole distributor for North America is based in the US, there is no mention at all of an authorised outlet in Canada.

Appreciated, but Canada is part of North America. Distributor is who our Canadian distributor got them from. Doesn't authorize us, but does make them authentic.

This is pretty much one of those things where you may have an authentic items but you are not going to get permission to sell it.

I doubt they will give you a letter because they do not want you selling the item.

Agreed. Not worried about the sales. It's the 6 listings they had AZ red block on us for inauthentic items (without a purchase or invoice request). Just because they had not authorized us, even though we got the items from an authorized distributor.

It's the guilty before innocent, then too bad for you route.
Just hoping they will do what's right after they admitted they were wrong on the accusation.

Well, after 2 unanswered phone messages and 3 unanswered emails, I sent another well crafted email for the reinstatement. Got an answer.

She emailed AZ and retracted the Phakes complaint, and has allowed us to sell through our product.
Moving forward, we need authorization from them first before selling their product.

Quite the good surprise today. Now the wait for AZ to unblock the listings :bounce:
