AMZ EU Bank Account verification
 

Hey Guys,

I just noticed something new on amz (de). Got an email where I'm asked to re-verify my bank account. When I get to the page in seller central where I can verify the bank account I get two options:

Option 1: AMZ transfers two small amounts to my bank account and I have to enter the amount in seller central once I received it. Pretty much like Paypals Bank account verification.

Option 2: Old school... Send bank document.

This is a stealth account. I wanted to ask if anybody here has tried Option 1 yet, as I am tempted to go for this option.

Any help is appreciated.

Kinda thinkin' the same. They can't see the name on the account where they send the money to, so it should be safe imo.

However, knowing AMZ, these sneaky bast**ds, I just wanted to double check if anyone here has actually done it that way and how that worked out.

Option 1 worked no problem for an account I made a few weeks ago.

Done it again on another today but something went wrong. After I entered the amounts, I got the usual your bank account is now verified message. However when I go back to check bank details, the status remain not verified and the verify button remains with the same two options.

Not sure what the hell has happened, hoping it is some delay/glitch with the system. Will update back should anything change.
