Money held for over 90 days due to inventory inspection. Not suspended.
 

I have been selling on Amazon for 4 years now. I sell used books. I received an email back in march that they will be inspecting my inventory for counterfeit books (I do not sell counterfeit books.) I have not been paid since January. I have almost 90k on hold. My account is in good standing. I have not been suspended. I can still sell inventory and send inventory in.

Has anyone dealt with this?

Never. I also sell books. this is very nerve wracking! they they list any ASINS in partciular? any customer complaints?

As long as your products are legit you should have no issue going through the review

Yes. I have contacted every known contact at Amazon multiple times. I have had to let go of 2 employees due to this so I have tried everything except getting a lawyer. That is my next step.

That seems like a new type of review. Maybe they placed a rolling reserve on your funds and it has a glitch in the system...

I would write a letter to seller performance aswell as call them to see what’s happening

I would refrain from using a lawyer to contact amazon as this may result in a full account suspension.
This sounds like a matter of just continuously contacting Amazon.

Did they say in the initial email how long the review would take?

I agree, at least at this stage stay within Amazon and try working with them until you get some kind of useful update. It could just be they are in the process of doing the review and it's taking longer than normal if there are a lot of books they need to go through.

Based on what I have read here in the past, Amazon is quite thorough with product reviews especially if they suspect "inauthentic" items.

It was supposed to be done by the end of March. They pulled aside 6 or 7 books for inspection.

Lesson learned- do not put all eggs in one basket. Sell on different venues.

It was books at random. Account is good. Going to switch to merchant fulfilled and diversifying my venues once this is all over. They can't pull books for review if they aren't in the warehouse.

Why would they suspend me because I am merchant fulfilled instead of FBA? It also is not smart of me to be selling on one platform. I need to diversify so I do not have capital held up for over 3 months.

I fully agree with diversifying your streams of revenue, however changing to merchant fulfilled wont bypass this, they will just suspend you and then look for you to prove authenticity.
