Amazon identity verification
 

I havent set up a new account is a while.

Everything is fresh when signing up, but near the end it requests to upload passport and bank statement.

Does this now happen for everyone now?

I'm signing up and an individual.. how about a pro account? i will attempt it in a few hours, but any info would be gladly appreciated it.

last time i signed up, this also happened. but two of them requested additional docs and another 2 opened just fine. I believe this happened when they first rolled it out. So again, has anyone opened up and account without the need for additional docs?

You will always need to provide some sort of docs upon opening account nowadays

It need to pass registration verification before the account will be opened

Yes verification is almost guaranteed every-time.

Its been quite a while since i haven't been requested docs on account creation.

Its been normal for years

ID, Bank statement, Utility bill and business license are the 4 most common requests

Then you may get invoice requests depending on your new seller account activity/items you sell

Thx for replying guys.

I opened a pro account and they requested docs. And it was a no go. I tried a second time, this time when I tried to upload the docs, my connection died. Then it gave me fail to authorize, then directed me to the 2step login, after which the account was fully activated.. without even uploading the docs. Lil glitch which I can't replicate atm, but I did save the 2step url..

My Id n statements are UK, I'm going to try to obtain some USA docs. If anyone has working ones and wants share it with I'd appreciate it. Email is unusual at Yahoo dot com. I'll forward you my UK docs in turn.

Not if you can be verified with database checks.

They don't seem to be doing that at the moment, at least consistently
