Is virtual box necessary

I am looking to set up a stealth account on a laptop that has been used for a banned amazon account. Will creating a new windows user account with VPN suffice, or do I need a virtual box. I will only run 1 amazon account at a time. I have set up a virtual box, but there is a huge lag, and its really slow.

Creating a new windows user account is enough. No need for you to make it on a VIrtual Box if your system cannot run it properly.

As WEI said, A new user account is fine. Some people only use Virtual box for an extra bit of security and convenience.

Go with virtual machines

User account will have a very similar browser fingerprint, virtual box will be much more unique

I second with virtual box. It’s free after all.

I had the same lag issue with virtual box and followed these directions and it fixed my problem...

"After some more experiments, I found that by raising the minimum processor speed when running on mains power raised the CPU speed. Setting it to 80% made the minimum speed 2GHz on mains power, which was fine for running the virtual machine.

To do this, go to Power Options in the Control Panel and next to the Power saver plan, click Change plan settings. On the next screen, click Change advanced power settings. Expand Processor power management, Minimum processor state, and set Plugged in to 80% or whatever value gives reasonable performance in the virtual machine."

Thanks for this tip.

What are your setting in Virtual box?
System>Motherboard tab and Processor tab?
Display>Screen?

I have a quad core i7 with 16 gigs of ram running on windows 10. I was running windows 10 on the guest virtual box.
I had set my Base Memory to 8 gigs and Processor to 2 CPUs

With the above setting there was lag. This was when my screen was scaled to 175%. My host computer (Task Manager -->Processes) CPU was running between 85% to 90% and Memory was around 65%. Usually the CPU runs below 15% and memory around 35%. When I tried to go Full screen on the Virtual box, it was super slow. Count even control the mouse pointer.

Re: Is virtual box necessary

Have you enabled the virtualization in your BIOS?
Knowing your system specs, there should be no problem running that Virtual Box.

Virtual Box works fine....I prefer VMWare 100%.
