Other than applying a little common sense, then no there isn't.

If you're selling genuine goods then you've nothing to worry about if your paperwork is in order.

The case is when buying 100% genuine goods from wholesaler. The wholesaler who supply us will have n number of brands. The wholesalers invoice and authorization letters are not sufficient enough for amazon. Amazon accepts invoices and authorization letter from the direct brand manufacturer or distributor only and not from wholesalers.
So on this case it will be good if we know about an ASIN before listing it so listing/buying that ASIN can be avoided.

Amazon suspend the account as soon as we list such counterfeit product. It is stressful to go through the appeal process.
So its better we avoid listing such counterfeit product. The question is how to find whether it is counterfeit product before we list on amazon ?.

I get what you are saying Tin Tin, but the fact is regardless whether you sell real or not, if the asin is risky, you are in risk also and even though the documents are real, it's not a guarantee Amazon will reinstate it.

I have gone through this myself and I'm the COPYRIGHT OWNER.

So don't think because someone is asking it's an automatic "they are selling !@#$".

She said she bought from wholesaler and AMZN only accept manufacturer and distributor?
Distributors are wholesalers and get the goods from the manufacturer,if her wholesaler is not a distributor,then where does he get the goods?

This is how one of my friends account got suspended before even he started trading on amazon. Just when he listed some product on his account, amazon seller performance questioned the ASIN and suspended the account. All products listed and the invoice are 100% genuine but the account is still not activated.

then you have to work with your wholesaler!
I dont know what you want to sell on AMZN,but there are some categories,it is very easy to replicate the real thing,perfume and cosmetics,dvds,small electronic items,designer handbags,shoes,clothes.
when in doubt,order from the manufacturer or distributor
