Not totally sure, it could be they picked up on the fact people love stealing AMZ boxes. Since they're obviously getting noticed and picked out maybe they're doing something similar with the data.
My other speculation was it's some way to trick buyers into sending photos of unopened packages before they can claim item not recieved cases - lol.
It's apparently really bad for some sellers with 20+ yrs in ecommerce and they're getting slammed with inauthenticity claims. And only on AMZ. But I'm noticing more customers are making these claims on Ebay as well.
I think they're cashing in on a really cheap marketing avenue, though. Much cheaper than tv ads or billboards.
