What state for my LLC?

Does it matter which state I use for my LLC? I'm in illinois and its $200 to setup an LLC. A cheaper state like montana is only like $40. Does it matter which state I set it up in?

I'm planning on selling around $25k per year max.

No it doesn't matter.. you can file taxes regardless of which state your LLC is registered in.

There are states that are more favorable for LLC's because they don't have an income tax. Deleware, Nevada, and Wyoming are the most popular choices for favorable tax laws.

Delaware has really great privacy for LLC's - it's my favorite. Nevada would be 2nd pick.
