| kghost | 05-23-2019 11:44 AM | Seeking Advice For Passing Amazon Identity Verification On New Account Hello,
I am searching for a concrete answer regarding the identity verification step of creating my new account. My first account was permanently banned in 2018 because Amazon didn't approve the source of my inventory.
So far I have signed up under my new LLC, used a business credit card to pay for the professional account under the LLC name and the business mailbox I set up.
When my first account was closed down at some point I had sent them a .jpg file of my drivers license. I am worried if I attempt to use my passport for this new account they will link my name and birthday and suspend the account.
I noticed that the page says "I am the sole owner or point of contact for this account". So my question is what can I use as my identity to pass the verification?
As far as I can tell, my available options are: - Use my passport, which may be linked back via name and birthday.
- Use my girlfriend's name and drivers license. (she will never have an Amazon seller account)
- Use an alias and a creative copy of a drivers license or passport (which they may attempt to verify and it would fail)
The bank account and LLC are both registered on a shortened version of my name. Will there be an issue if my girlfriends name is not on those accounts/documents?
Should I expect to run into any problems or requests for further documents to prove the identity in the coming months? Invoices are no longer an issue, I will only be selling a private label product and I have customs papers, invoices and everything they will want this time.
I have been unable to find solid information on how to successfully pass this step of verification for Amazon. I would greatly appreciate any help or information about your own experiences in getting past the validation step.
Thank you for any help you are able to provide. |

| kghost | 05-23-2019 12:34 PM | Re: Seeking Advice For Passing Amazon Identity Verification On New Account Yes this would be a US account. |
| gooddeal | 05-23-2019 12:39 PM | Re: Seeking Advice For Passing Amazon Identity Verification On New Account i heard there is not much 2nd id verification for us account |
| kghost | 05-23-2019 01:11 PM | Re: Seeking Advice For Passing Amazon Identity Verification On New Account I hope that is true. I still need some concrete advice on what to actually use for the identity step of making the account that will pass the initial steps. |

| Zippie | 05-25-2019 04:10 AM | Re: Seeking Advice For Passing Amazon Identity Verification On New Account Do not do option #3.
Option #1 Would be what I would try first. If all the information is new but your name. Then you should be fine.
If that doesn't work. Then do #2. Start over with all new stuff.
Create a new LLC in Delaware which has some privacy. Have your girlfriend sign the paperwork. Get her an authorized user credit card matching the address of the business - use this to pay the pro merchant fee. Go through tax wizard setup, have her put her name on the Tax form with the LLC EIN. Setup the bank account with your LLC and your information. Should be all set.
I've personally done both #1 & #2 successfully. But meticulously separated all the other important details (address, phone, IP, etc) |

With the passport option I am paranoid that they might match my name with my birthday from my drivers license from early 2018. I may have to try this first as the LLC, bank account, etc are not in my girlfriends name.
Since the account is being registered as a business there is no chance to upload her drivers license to the account that is almost finished being created? Does the person in the identity step have to match the name on the bank account when it's a business? What if this was an employee creating the account? |

I would finish and hope they don't connect you by DOB - which I don't personally think will happen (as long as everything else is new).
Then if that doesn't work - use girlfriend info. As long as you trust she won't do something stupid /crazy later - like after you accidentally have sex with her sister... |

| IGNAS | 05-28-2019 09:36 AM | Re: Seeking Advice For Passing Amazon Identity Verification On New Account Either option 2 or 3.
As for bank account - it doesn't matter which name it's under - amazon won't be able to see the name attached to it. |

Does anyone know of anyone who has had their stealth account banned because their drivers license was matched to a passport by name/birthday? I have taken great steps to keep this new account separate (new computer, new internet provider, separate cell phone, separate mailbox/address, new bank account, new credit card, new llc) and I don't want to risk the new account being banned. |
| k3guaposoy | 05-28-2019 05:09 PM | Re: Seeking Advice For Passing Amazon Identity Verification On New Account I know a friend who did this:
He traveled to a country south of his. After a 2.40 hour-flight and eating a decent lunch he went downtown, there is a very specialized part of the town where he was able to find not only one shop but literally hundreds of shops where they can create and print a physical replica of any passport or ID in the world, including DLs, bank statements, cc statements and so on.
Not only Photoshop but physical, Photoshop sometimes fails verification.
Of course you cannot fly with those but all what Amazon needed was a picture of the docs. Save or email the photos then discard the "originals".
$200 for a pack of 2.
100% success verification rate. After that he can change the account info onto an LLC or anything alike.
He also found some fellow nationals there but he was afraid to socialize.
I hope this helps. |

I have gone to great lengths to keep everything else separate - internet service, phone service, address, bank account, LLC, domain names, invoices - everything. I don't want to throw that all away because I make the wrong decision at the very last step of the process. |
Re: Seeking Advice For Passing Amazon Identity Verification On New Account When I looked at the application it said legal name -
Can't you just create a membership LLC, the enter that in for the legal name? Then list address? Then EIN? without docs? |

| Beautiful | 06-25-2019 01:37 PM | Re: Seeking Advice For Passing Amazon Identity Verification On New Account If you have used your driver license before, you can use your passport on another shop
The passport does not show address, only name/bday
Yes they may link you with name/bday but if you follow stealth rules (don't re-use any old information and avoid selling the same previously used items, you should be fine without getting linked |
