When did Grocery & Gourmet Foods become unrestricted?
It appeared to have required pre-approval and invoices to sell, but using the add a product option for food items theres no "request approval" but instead "list yours" so it looks like I can sell. Im not "pre-approved" nor requested in the past to sell in Grocery & Gourmet Foods.
Amazons own seller central help pages shows Grocery & Gourmet Foods as requiring approval so this is confusing.
I contact seller support and they told me: "I would like to inform you that all the "Grocery & Gourmet Foods" products does not need request approval to add a product." So this tells me Amazons help pages are incorrect.
Anyone here know if selling in Grocery will trigger anything?

I had this presumption but there are no restrictions currently when trying to add products in food category. No "Request approval" its all "list yours". This is on top of seller support saying food doesn't require approval.
Categories don't mean much these days. If you try to sell something that Amazon feels should be restricted they will simply ask you to prove it with utility bills, business licenses or invoices related to your business, sales history, and so forth.
