Brand Approval

I was wondering if anyone can give insight on this matter.

With regards to items on Amazon which require brand approval to sell a specific brand, if I purchase the same items I want to sell from another Amazon seller who has received approval from Amazon to sell such a brand, will an invoice from that seller be accepted to receive approval from Amazon for myself to sell the brand?

There is a brand I wish to sell but my own supplier does not allow Amazon sales and therefore my involices from that supplier will not be sufficient to sell the brand. Therefore I was thinking that purchasing from already approved Amazon seller might get me the inital approval, and after that Isell the stock from my own supplier after being approved.

Anyone have experience whether this will work or not?

Re: Brand Approval

No unless, the other seller is an authorised distributor by the brand, their invoices will not be sufficient.

Also, your current supplier is more than likely keeping an eye on your business activities to ensure you are staying in line with their policies so you wont be able to sell their products on Amazon

Re: Brand Approval

But surely the other seller would have needed to provide proof that they are authorised in order for them to get their initial approval to sell the brand? It is actually the ASIN which requires approval and not the brand itself (I just checked to confirm that now, it says I need approval to list the ASIN). Or is ASIN approval based on more than just the ASIN itself? Do some sellers require ASIN approval and others do not require it for the same item?

And I already have a way to get around my supplier tracking my sales activities so that is no issue :)

Re: Brand Approval

When the other seller was applying to sell on that ASIN they would have provided the invoice they got from their supplier, when you go to buy from that seller, they aren't going to give you that invoice, they're going to give you their own invoice.
Unless that seller is an authorised brand distributor Amazon wont accept it.
